Character | Unlimited color variation is inherent to product. Contains all hues of red, brown, tan, and deep gold among others. Weathered original board faces contain uneven surfaces (over/under wood), saw marks, fastener marks, indentations, oxide staining and discoloration from prior use; unlimited grain combinations; heartwood and sapwood; nail and pinholes; knots, and non-structural checks and cracks (filled with black epoxy over 1/8″). |
Species | Mempening, Bintangor, Agoho, Rengas, Mertas, Nayotah, Simpoh, Bitis, Thitka and others (list available). The variability in species is consistent across lots so recurring orders will have a similar random look and feel. |
Hardness | 1100-3500 using Janka Ball test (ASTM D1037-96A). Natural wood products have no minimum hardness specifications since individual plank values vary depending on cell structure and wood grain. |
